28 Mar Vegan Mini Egg Milkshake
Happy (early) Easter! A few years ago I created this vegan mini egg milkshake because I was craving mini eggs but I didn’t want the sugar rush or animal products within them. This creamy and chocolatey milkshake will be sure to satisfy your sweet tooth while honouring your body and leaving you feeling energized.
This recipe features (one of my favourite foods) cacao! A few weeks ago I went to my very first cacao ceremony and it was hosted by the legendary David Wolfe. I learned a few new interesting things about cacao while I was there. The first being how beneficial cacao is for your teeth. If you look at a picture of cacao beans within the pods from the tree the beans really look like teeth. Maybe this is why I have always had naturally white teeth; when I was younger, I would literally eat all of my Easter (or any other holiday) chocolate in one day and sneak my sisters whenever I could because she would ration hers for months. David also mentioned that if you want to create abundance in your life simply eat more chocolate. Now that’s my kind of plan! Cacao is truly a fascinating plant.
Cacao is like drinking love into your body. It can function as a tool to open the heart chakra and allow you to access and move through your emotions. Physically, cacao is beneficial to improve heart health, aiding in a better cholesterol profile, blood pressure, and blood sugar levels. Clearly, it gets the heart pumping and blood moving, naturally, it is an aphrodisiac. Aphrodisiacs stimulate sexual desire but due to this area of the body (energetically speaking) you can also harness this feeling to connect to yourself on a deeper level to uncover what you find pleasurable. Allow this energy to work through you to create whatever your heart desires whether it be through sexual expression or artistic. Allow the cacao to merge you with the dance of life itself.

This recipe is super easy. Place all of the ingredients in a blender and blend until creamy. Top with this coconut whipped cream and you’re ready to enjoy this luxurious milkshake.

- 6 coconut milk ice cubes*
- 2 bananas, frozen
- 3 tablespoons coconut sugar
- 4 chunks cacao butter (approx. ⅛ cup)
- 2 teaspoons cacao powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons cacao nibs
- ½ cup coconut milk
- Pinch of pink Himalayan salt
- Optional: Coconut whipped cream, to top
- Place all of the ingredients in a high powered blender and blend until thick and creamy. Use a tamper as needed.
- Fill jar with milkshake.
- Top milkshake with whipped cream.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
