11 Jul Lavender Nice Cream
I love this time of year! All of the plants are thriving and ready for picking.
Last year I took a workshop to learn about all of the wild edible plants that grow in Ontario. Since then my interest has grown and I have gone on more walks to discover what else is edible, it is safe to say there was a lot of taste testing along the way. Today I’m sharing with you a creation made after last weekends walk.
Here we have wild lavender and black raspberries.
Lavender is extremely relaxing! Most people are familiar with this idea because of all of the lavender products marketed as aids to help you sleep, relax, or soothe in some way. After consuming this nice cream it was almost immediate that I felt my entire body and mind soften. It was as if a layer had been shed making me feel lighter yet I relaxed deeper into my seat. I could also feel it penetrating the space between my brows, not surprisingly, it is helpful for balancing the third eye chakra. The third eye is what connects you to higher consciousness, when it is open you may have vivid dreams, increased intuition, the ability to see auras, hear voices, and become more aware of synchronicities.
Black raspberries, also known as rubus occidentalis, contain high levels of anthocyanins, which work as antioxidants in the body to fight free radical damage. Black raspberries have a similar texture to pink/red raspberries but actually taste much sweeter.
This recipe is super simple. Have fun with it! If you can, go outside and pick the ingredients fresh. It’s a fun way to connect with your food.
It’s that simple.
If you are a fellow chocolate lover, you will love this nice cream topped with this delicious, quick, and easy 2-ingredient chocolate sauce.
