Daily Eats {1.6.18} // Weekend Edition

Good afternoon!

Today I am sharing another day of eats. A lot of people seem to think of the weekends as a great time to have “cheat” days/meals which is why I wanted to share a day of eats from my weekend. When you eat intuitively you don’t need “cheat” days because each day you can honour your hunger and satisfaction cues which means if you want something you can have it. Give yourself the permission to listen to your body, no food rules or dieting, simply freedom from food.

On that note, lets dig into my weekend eats…

Breakfast (9:45 am)

I slept in a little today, made myself a chocolate orange smoothie, and then made my way to the gym to teach a yin yoga class followed by a workout.

Lunch (1:15 pm)

I went grocery shopping on my way home from the gym and bought all of this delicious fresh produce so I decided to make a beet salad. This salad is made with golden beets, ginger, red onion, lime juice, cilantro, sauerkraut, and sunflower seeds. I also bought a probiotic juice while I was out and added a couple tablespoons of Chia seeds to it. Delicious!

Lately I have been thinking about taking a probiotic supplement. Any suggestions for which ones you find beneficial? After lunch I made myself a dandy blend “coffee” with coconut-vanilla creamer and watched some Netflix.

If you’re looking to quit coffee I recommend watching this video on how I quit coffee (I haven’t drank it in over two years now!).

Dinner (5:30 pm)

I decided to meditate before dinner and when I was finished I was super hungry! So I had a piece of Alter Eco’s toasted quinoa chocolate bar while I made dinner.

For dinner, I made brown basmati rice with Gardein’s orange “chicken.” I added garlic and crushed red peppers to the orange sauce and topped it with green onion. Apparently I was very hungry because I ended up having two servings of dinner which means I ate the entire bag of “chicken.”

Dessert (9 pm)

In the evening I did a card reading with these beautiful cards by Lucy Cavendish, made myself a cup of calming tea, and had a few raw cacao macaroons.

I drank about 2 litres of water throughout the day.

That’s it for my weekend eats.

But before I go I want to update you…

I am now offering single sessions as well as my 6-month coaching program. I am booking clients for February 2018 so if you’d like to try a coaching session with me email me through the link on this page. Looking forward to connecting with you!
